The Corner-to-Corner crochet stitch (or C2C) is really easy to learn, but it can look pretty daunting when you’re just starting out. It’s a new kind of technique and with the increasing, decreasing, and color changes, it can look a little scary.
Never fear! I’ve put together a series of C2C video tutorials to help you learn the basics. There are 6 videos altogether:
Video #1: Getting Started/Increasing with C2C
This video covers getting started and increasing while using the C2C technique in the standard DC stitch.
Video #2: Decreasing with C2C
This video covers decreasing while using the C2C technique in the standard DC stitch.
Video #3: Color Changes with C2C
This video covers changing yarn colors while using the C2C technique in the standard DC stitch. It shows how to carry your yarn and the different places of the block where you can bring in a new color.
Video #4: The Modified or “Mini” C2C Stitch
This video covers the changes made to modify the standard C2C stitch, which is worked in DC, to make it into the “mini” C2C stitch, which is worked in HDC.
Video #5: How to Use Bobbins with C2C
This video briefly using bobbins and includes some suggestions of what you can do instead if you don’t want to purchase anything special.
Video #6: How to Read a C2C Graph
This is a (not-so-brief) video tutorial on how to read the C2C graphs we use for our CALs, since we will no longer be including written instructions for those CALs. Hope it helps!
